Located in the heart of San Francisco’s Civic Center, The Kelsey is a groundbreaking residential community designed to set a new standard for inclusive, accessible, and sustainable housing. Delivered in collaboration with Cahill Construction and designed by WRNS Studio, the project provides 112 homes for residents of all abilities, incomes, and backgrounds—creating a vibrant, supportive urban community.
Priority Architectural Graphics contributed a signage program that aligns closely with the project’s mission of universal accessibility and intuitive navigation. Thoughtfully executed to support a diverse resident population, the signage emphasizes clarity, legibility, and seamless integration with the building’s architectural language, reinforcing the project’s inclusive design approach.
Within a development where wayfinding, sensory experience, and accessibility are central to the design, signage plays a critical role in daily life—helping residents and visitors move confidently through the space. The result is a cohesive signage system that supports The Kelsey’s broader vision: creating housing where thoughtful design fosters independence, connection, and community.
