History

Priority Architectural Graphics was founded in 1995 by owner, Juliana Choy Sommer. The company’s roots were in the design and production of custom engraving for local business, later expanding into the largest architectural graphics and signage firm in San Francisco.

Priority Architectural Graphics is the parent company of Laserbuilt, a web-based company that provides precision laser-cutting services for architects, designers, creatives, and makers.

1995

Company founded as Priority Engraving.

1998

Manufactured and installed signs in CA State Civic Center, the first Design/Build Project for the State of California.

2000

Moved into current headquarters at 1596 Hudson Street in San Francisco.

2008

Moved in-house project management to the cloud to streamline client production process.

2016

Began 3D printing for all ADA compliant signage using innovative, new fabrication technology.

2017

Moved all field-to-office coordination to the cloud to ensure real-time communication with client project teams.

2018

Priority Architectural Graphics is recognized by State Senator Scott Wiener as San Francisco’s awardee for California Small Business Day.

2020

The company is honored by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the fastest growing private companies in the Bay Area.

2021

Priority Architectural Graphics is awarded "Minority Enterprise Business of the Year" by ASIAN Inc.

2021

The company merges with VKK Signmakers in the South Bay.
