Rising within San Francisco’s evolving Transbay district, Transbay Block 2 is a landmark affordable housing development that brings together two distinct residential communities—family housing designed by Kennerly Architecture & Planning and senior housing designed by Mithun—delivered in collaboration with Swinerton. Together, the project adds over 300 much-needed homes, thoughtfully integrated into the dense urban fabric of the East Cut neighborhood.

Priority Architectural Graphics contributed comprehensive signage programs that supports the project’s mission of accessibility, clarity, and community. Designed to serve a diverse resident population, the signage emphasizes legibility, intuitive navigation, and durability, while seamlessly aligning with the architectural language of both buildings.

From family-oriented spaces to senior living environments, the signage system was carefully executed to enhance daily use—ensuring residents and visitors can move through the development with ease and confidence. The result is a cohesive, high-performance signage package that reinforces the project’s broader goal: creating inclusive, well-designed housing that strengthens the surrounding neighborhood.
