Raising the Bar Around Airport Design
We are incredibly proud to share that San Francisco International Airport’s Harvey Milk Terminal 1 has been awarded the top World Title at the 2025 Prix Versailles Awards, officially naming it the “World’s Most Beautiful Airport“. The prestigious ceremony, held December 4th in Paris, France under the auspices of UNESCO, honored the 72 most exceptional architectural achievements across the globe, spanning 25 countries across 8 categories.
The Prix Versailles Awards jury values projects based on four criteria aligned with UNESCO’s mission:
• Intelligent sustainability, grounded in long-term responsibility
• Cultural resonance, honoring heritage while embracing progress
• Public value, ensuring spaces serve communities in meaningful ways
• Aesthetic excellence, enriching both daily life and the urban landscape
This recognition places Harvey Milk Terminal 1 at SFO among the world’s most celebrated airport public spaces, praised for its stunning architectural design, deep cultural sensitivity honoring the legacy of Harvey Milk, and its commitment to sustainability and passenger experience. Priority Architectural Graphics is proud to have been the signage partner working with the team at SFO, Hensel Phelps Construction and the Design Team led by Gensler/Kuth Raneiri on this keystone project.

Airport Signage That Delivers a World-Class Passenger Experience
Priority Architectural Graphics is especially honored to have been part of this landmark project as the fabricator and installer of the terminal’s signage and wayfinding systems. In an airport environment of this scale and complexity, signage plays a critical role in shaping how travelers move, orient themselves, and experience the space.
Our team worked closely with the broader design and construction partners to deliver clear, intuitive, and beautifully integrated signage that supports the terminal’s architecture while ensuring accessibility, legibility, and ease of navigation for millions of passengers each year. From initial coordination through final installation, this project required precision, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to quality—values that align closely with the vision of Harvey Milk Terminal 1. We particularly want to thank our client, Hensel Phelps Construction, the Design Team led by Gensler/Kuth Raneiri and San Francisco International Airport for their commitment to working with small businesses.

Seamless Collaboration at the Highest Level: Architecture & Design – Construction & Fabrication – Installation
Projects recognized on a global stage are never the result of a single contributor. Harvey Milk Terminal 1 reflects what is possible when design excellence, collaborative thinking, and disciplined execution come together. Being part of a construction team that shared a unified vision—and executed it at such a high level—was both an honor and a professional milestone for our firm.
We are proud that our signage work contributes to a terminal that is not only visually striking, but also welcoming, inclusive, and intuitive—qualities that resonate deeply with the values Harvey Milk represented and that San Francisco continues to champion.

A Global Honor – Rooted in San Francisco Innovation & Creativity
To see a San Francisco project receive international recognition as the “World’s Most Beautiful Airport” is deeply meaningful to the team at Priority. The Prix Versailles World Title affirms Harvey Milk Terminal 1 as a global benchmark for how architecture, culture, sustainability, and user experience can intersect with purpose.
Congratulations to San Francisco International Airport, the entire design and construction team, and all collaborators who helped bring this extraordinary vision to life. Priority Architectural Graphics is proud to have fabricated and installed the signage for a project that is now honored as one of the world’s best.

“Each year, the Prix Versailles challenges us to look beyond aesthetics alone and to evaluate architecture and design as a force capable of shaping the world we inhabit. It invites us to measure creativity
not only by its boldness, but by its integrity – its ability to respond to cultural context, to uplift communities, and to contribute meaningfully to a sustainable future.” – Irina Bokova, 2025 World Jury Chairperson
