BART Wayfinding Signage

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is the Bay Area’s main regional transportation system serving over 120 million annual passengers. The system, which went into operation in 1972 was primarily relying on the originally built wayfinding signage. BART underwent a systemwide study and signage program overhaul in conjunction with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) in 2010 and new signage, information displays, real time display and identity graphics are a product of this study.
